It's a battle royale for the Top 30 players in the 2009 FedEx Cup standing at The Tour ChampionshipSeptember 23, 2009 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, the East Lake Golf Club will host the finest 30 golfers this season as they play for the Tour Championship in order to determine the overall winner of the FedEx Cup standings.

Who leads the FedEx Cup standings? Well, nobody else by Tiger Woods. Woods won the BMW Championship two weeks ago which catapulted him atop the FedEx cup standing with 2,500 points. He did not win any major this year but he did win six times at the PGA Tour after coming off a knee surgery.

It won't be easy for Tiger since he needs to win the Tour Championship to bag the FedEx Cup trophy for the second time. Steve Stricker, Jim Furyk, Zack Johnson and Heath Slocum are also in contention that Woods need to hurdle if he wants to pocket the Tour Championship win and the FedEx Cup title.

For Tiger, pressures don't rattle him but he always gives his best whenever things don't go his way. That's why he is heavily favored by the sportsbook to win The Tour Championship as well as the FedEx Cup title.
