2010-11 NBA Season: Sacramento Kings vs. Miami HeatFebruary 22, 2011 by Marc Jerbs

On Tuesday, the Sacramento Kings visits the Miami Heat for a West vs. East matchup at AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, FL. This starts the 2nd half of the 2010-11 NBA season wherein teams starts to jockey up for playoff positions and stave of an early vacation.

The Kings have underperformed in the 1st half of the season. It will continue until the end of the regular season and they would definitely miss the playoffs. They will miss the services of last year's rookie of the year Tyreke Evans due to plantar fasciitis against the Heat.

With Evans out, rookie DeMarcus Cousins have been trusted to lead the plight of the Kings. Showing of his offensive ware at the recent All-Star game, Cousins still has a lot of gas to carry the Kings at his back while they await the return of Tyreke Evans.

The Miami Heat would want to start the 2nd half of the season on a winning note. There was an initial setback early on but they have persevered and eventually put up a string of winning streaks. The adjustment period between Lebron, Wade and Bosh is over. They now know how to operate their offense and defense in each game. Yet, there's still room for improvement for the Heat as the trio chases the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Miami Heat as the favorite to beat the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.
