2010 Formula 1 Racing:Italian Grand PrixSeptember 08, 2010 by Marc Jerbs

On Sunday, the legendary track "Autodromo di Monza" will host the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. This 53-lap race will cover 306.720km of the 5.793km circuit length. This is the home track of Team Ferrari and Rubens Barrichello holds the fastest lap record of 1:21.046 established in 2004.

Currently, Team Ferrari sits in third place in the Constructor's standing and both drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa are in 5th and 6th place in the driver's standings. This season, Team Ferrari have not performed consistently in every race, their F1 cars sometimes lacks the race pace, they also encountered a series of engine and chassis malfunctions.

However, things might be different this Sunday's race since it is at their home racetrack. Tifosi fans expect the red Ferrari cars to show it racing form and challenge the front leading McLaren-Mercedes and RBR-Renault.

McLaren-Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton leads the driver's standing with 182 points. He holds a slim three-point lead over RBR-Renault's Mark Webber, at close third is Webber's teammate, Sebastien Vettel.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed McLaren-Mercedes Lewis Hamilton as the favorite to win the Italian Grand Prix. Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and RBR-Renault's Sebastian Vettel looms as his fiercest challenger on Sunday's race.
