2010 PGA TOUR Major Tournament:The MastersApril 07, 2010 by JP Cheeks

On Thursday, the PGA Tour will showcase its first major tournament of the season, The Masters. Tiger Woods is back after a long layoff due to his recent personal problems.

Tiger Woods decided to end his hiatus sooner than expected and chose The Masters as his first competitive golf tournament for this season. He decided that playing golf is the best way to move on and resurrect his tarnished image.

Woods will play alongside KJ Choi and Matt Kuchar in his opening round that will begin at 1:42 PM ET on Thursday. They are second to the last group to tee off on the first hole of Augusta National. Expect a huge crowd on Woods' first swing of his club as he officially announces his return at the PGA Tour.

Argentina's Angel Cabrera is the defending Masters champion. He will need to regain his magic once again if he wants to retain his green jacket. Among the golfers that could win this year's Masters are Ernie Els, Lee Westwood, Retief Goosen, Phil Mickelson, Padraig Harrington, Jim Furyk and Matt Kuchar.

Despite his long layoff, damage reputation and tarnished image, the sportsbook handicapper installed Tiger Woods as the man to beat at this year's Masters. Sit back, relax and enjoy as the story unfolds this Thursday.
