2011 MAACO Bowl:Arizona State vs. Boise StateDecember 21, 2011 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, the Arizona State Sun Devils face the Boise State Broncos in the MAACO Bowl. The Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas will host this bowl game. Kick of is set at 8PM ET.

Boise State's QB Kellen Moore is the winningest quarterback in college football history. He surpassed Colt McCoy's record of 45 wins last Nov. 5 at UNLV. It would have been a storied legacy if the Broncos were given a BCS berth but was relegated to a non-BCS bowl. For the 2nd year in a row, Boise State will play in the MAACO Bowl.

In last year's MAACO Bowl, QB Kellen Moore led Boise State to a 26-3 win over Utah. He led the Broncos with 339 passing yards and added 147 rushing yards. Moore hopes to lead again his Broncos team and possibly cement his legacy as the winningest quarterback in college football.

The Sun Devils must expect a tough match against the Broncos. They have a porous defense which is a recipe for a lopsided win. Arizona State allows 419.5 yards per game and gave up 36 points per contest last November. They must figure out on how to stop QB Kellen Moore if Broncos want an upset win.

The sportsbook handicappers installed the Boise State Broncos as a 14-point favorite to beat the Arizona State Sun Devils. However, if the Sun Devils do not collapse under pressure in this game they have a chance to beat the Broncos.
