2011 NFL Sunday Night Football:Green Bay Packers vs. Atlanta FalconsOctober 05, 2010 by Marc Jerbs

On Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons will host the defending Super Bowl champions Green Bay Packers for an NFC football game at the fabled Georgia Dome. Kick off is set at 8:20PM ET.

For the third time in their storied franchise, the Green Bay Packers are off to a 4-0 start, and are one of the two undefeated NFL teams this season. The Packers are 2-0 on the road and have beaten 2 other NFC South teams, the Saints and Panthers in two consecutive weeks.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is the catalyst on why his team is playing cohesively from Weeks 1 to 4. He has completed 73% of his pass, 1,325 total passing yards, 12 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions in the Packers' first four games.

The Falcons are coming off a 2-point win against the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday. They got a win and a 2-2 record in the NFC South but Coach Mike Smith doesn't like the way his team played against the Seahawks. Against the Packers, if they play this kind of sloppy defense and erratic offense the Falcons will have no chance of beating the Super Bowl champs.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Green Bay Packers as a 5.5-point favorite to beat the Atlanta Falcons. If the Falcons could muster against the resiliency they showed in beating the Michael Vick-led Eagles then they could also earn an upset win against Super Bowl champs.
