2011 PGA TOUR:RBC Canadian OpenJuly 20, 2011 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, the PGA Tour's next stop is at the Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club in Vancouver, Canada for the RBC Canadian Open. The Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year by hosting the RBC Canadian Open for the fourth time.

With Tiger Woods out of the PGA Tour for a while, a lot of golfers have now an opportunity to showcase their skills and contend in every tournament during Woods' absence. It is their time to shine and be known in the golf world; once Tiger comes back it will be all about him again in the PGA Tour.

Defending champion Carl Pettersson will have his hands full as he tries to earn a back-to-back win at the Canadian Open. He should watch Rickie Fowler, Matt Kuchar, Luke Donald, Bo Van Pelt and Ryan Moore who are among his strongest competitor in the field.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Luke Donald as the favorite to win and dethrone Carl Pettersson at the Canadian Open. Matt Kuchar, Charl Schwartzel and Rickie Fowler are the other notable golfers who could steal the spotlight on Luke Donald.
