On Tuesday, the 2012-13 NBA season officially begins with 3 action packed basketball games. After a shortened lockout season, each NBA teams will now have an 82-game schedule, which will lessen the injuries to players and will gave fans ample time to enjoy a full NBA season.

The opening NBA match is between the Washington Wizards and Cleveland Cavaliers. The game will start at 7:00PM ET and the game will be Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

Defending champion Miami Heat will face the Boston Celtics at 8:00PM ET. Miami will also receive their championship rings before the game at the AmericanAirlines Arena. Newly acquired Ray Allen will face his former team and he his friendship with Celtic Kevin Garnett was strained when he transferred to Miami during free agency.

In the Western Conference, the retooled LA Lakers will meet the Dallas Mavericks at 10:30PM ET. This game will be held at the Staples Center. Expect avid LA fans to see this game as the Lakers will parade with new recruits PG Steve Nash and C Dwight Howard.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and LA Lakers as the favorites to earn their first win of the 2012-13 NBA season.
