2013 College Football Week 7:Rutgers vs. LouisvilleOctober 08, 2011 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, 8th ranked Louisville will play host to Rutgers in Week 7 of Division I College Football. It will be an American Athletic Conference match up for both collegiate teams. The AAC game will be held at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium in Louisville, KY.

Louisville has a 5-0 overall record and 1-0 in the AAC. The Cardinals hasn't been challenged in their first five games. Rutgers has been a tough opponent for Louisville. Their last six games between each other were decided by three points or less.

Louisville's coach Charlie Strong believes that their game against Rutgers will be a good test for his team's character. Leading WR DeVante Parker is a doubtful starter for the Cardinals because of an injured right shoulder. With a deep receiving corps, Coach Strong knows that they could compensate the absence of Parker.

Rutgers has a 4-1 overall record and 1-0 in the AAC. They are coming off a triple overtime game against SMU which they won, 55-52. The Scarlet Knights' high-scoring offense could pose a problem for the Cardinals' defensive line.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Louisville as a 17-point favorite to beat Rutgers on Thursday night.
