2014 MLB Season:Boston Red Sox vs. Chicago White SoxApril 15, 2013 by Marc Jerbs

On Tuesday, the Boston Red Sox will face the Chicago White Sox in a three-game series at the U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago, Illinois. The first pitch will be thrown at 8:10AM ET.

Boston has lost three of four to the Yankees in their last series. They were only 4 of 24 with runners in scoring position during the four-game stretch. The Red Sox were third throughout the league last year with a .278 batting average with runners in scoring position.

Pitcher Jake Peavy will pitch for the Red Sox. He will meet his former team for the 2nd time after he was dealt last year before the trade deadline. He has yet to win his first game after two straight no decisions but has limited his opponents to three runs over 12 2/3 innings.

The Chicago White Sox won the series over the Cleveland Indians. They won three of the four-game series behind the superb hitting of Alexei Ramirez. Alexei Ramirez is 21 for 50 and has collected at least one hit in all 13 games.

Pticher Erik Johnson will be on the mound against the Red Sox. This would be his first time to face the Boston. He needs to turn things around after two inefficient starts under his belt.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Boston Red Sox as the favorite to beat the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday night.
