2015 American League Wild Card Game:Houston Astros vs. NY YankeesOctober 06, 2015 by Marc Jerbs

On Tuesday, the NY Yankees will host the Houston Astros in a one-game winner take all American League Wild Card game at the Yankee Stadium. The first pitch is set at 8PM ET.

The winner of this game will advance to the AL Division Series. They will face the well-rested Kansas City Royals in a best-of-five matchup. The Houston Astros surprised many as they raced atop the AL West but faded in the stretch.

Rookie manager A.J. Hinch guided the Astros to their first postseason in 10 years. He is confident that 27-year old ace pitcher Dallas Kuechel is the correct choice to pitch against the Yankees.

Dallas Kuechel is on a three-day rest and he has shut down the New York's batters in 16 straight innings. He's 2-0 against the Yankees this season. His slider baffles almost every batter since he could spot the strike zone with accuracy.

The New York Yankees surprised many pundits this season. With an aging rosters, New York surge atop the AL East but faltered late in the season. New York has lost six of their last seven games of the regular season.

To make matters worse, left-hander pitcher CC Sabathia has decided to forego his postseason spot and will enter a rehabilitation center to seek treatment for alcoholism.

New York will send Masahiro Tanaka on the mound. He knew that tomorrow's game is not only for the club but it will for his fellow pitcher CC Sabathia. A wild card win against the Astros is a morale booster for New York as they plan to support CC Sabathia in every possible way.

The baseball handicappers have installed the Houston Astros as the favorite to beat the NY Yankees and advanced into the AL Division Series against the Kansas City Royals.
