After six days of intense basketball competition, the College Basketball Tournament has now moved to the Sweet 16. From 64 teams, it was trimmed to 16 teams who all profusely sweat and play hard in this step ladder tournament.

There were momentous upsets, top seed Villanova was eliminated in the East Region together with second seeds Kansas and Virginia. The lowest seed that qualified in the Sweet 16 was 11th seed UCLA.

The Sweet 16 round will start on Thursday with four scheduled games. Top seed in the Midwest Region Kentucky will face 5th ranked Virginia, 3rd ranked Notre Dame will go up against Wichita State. West Region's top seed Wisconsin will meet 4th ranked North Carolina and 2nd ranked Arizona will tussle with 6th ranked Xavier.

Another set of Sweet 16 match ups will follow the next day. In the East Region, 8th ranked NC State will go up against 4th ranked Louisville and 3rd ranked Oklahoma will face 7th ranked Michigan State. South Region's top seed Duke will meet 5th ranked Utah while 2nd ranked Gonzaga will clash with 11th ranked UCLA.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Wichita State, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Arizona, Gonzaga, Louisville, Duke and Michigan State as the favorite to win their respective Sweet 16 matches. The victorious teams will advance to the Elite 8 round of the College Basketball Tournament.
