Minnesota TwinsJuly 28, 2015 by Marc Jerbs

On Tuesday, the Minnesota Twins will play a two-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Target Field, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Game time is set at 8:10AM ET.

The Minnesota Twins are in 2nd place in the AL Central and eight games behind AL Central leader Kansas City Royals. Minnesota has struggle after the All Star break and is slowly slipping their grasp for a wild card spot in the playoffs.

Minnesota has struggled with runners in scoring position as it dipped from .283 to .200 in the second half. Rookie Miguel Sano who went 14 for 37 in his first 11 major league games, is 3 for 23 since the break.

Pittsburgh Pirates were four games under .500 when they lose both games to the Minnesota Twins two months ago. However, Pittsburgh turned it around and racked up 39 wins in their last 58 games after their loss to Minnesota.

With the St. Louis Cardinals ahead in the NL Central, the Pittsburgh Pirates may find themselves again in the wild card spot for three consecutive seasons.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Pittsburgh Pirates as the favorite to beat the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night.
