2017 MLB Season:Minnesota Twins vs. Detroit TigersApril 11, 2017 by Marc Jerbs

On Tuesday, the Detroit Tigers will host the Minnesota Twins in a three-game series at Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan. The first game of the three-game series will start at 1:10PM ET.

The Minnesota Twins brings a 5-1 record when they meet the Detroit Tigers in their three-game series. Minnesota is off to a good start just like in 2015 and they moved on from a dismal and lackadaisical campaign last year.

The Twins has a better starting rotation this year, has a sturdy defense and offense is humming from top to bottom of the lineup. The Twins will give the ball to pitcher Hector Santiago, he's 1-0 with 1.80 ERA in one start. He has a 2-5 career record against the Tigers and a 3.50 ERA.

The Detroit Tigers has a 4-2 record and has won 3 of 4 games against the short-handed Boston Red Sox in their last four-game series. In their first six games, it was evident that Detroit's bullpen was shaky and erratic. The Tigers decided to call up hot prospect Joe Jimenez to bolster the bullpen and eventually sent underperforming relief pitcher Bruce Rondon to back to Triple A.

Last season, Detroit won 15 of the 19 head-to-head match-up against Minnesota. But this time it will be a different Minnesota Twins that they will host in Comerica Park starting Tuesday. Pitcher Matthew Boyd will pitch for the Tigers and has a 3-1 record and 3.94 ERA in sixth starts against Minnesota.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Detroit Tigers as the favorite to beat the Minnesota Twins in the first game of the three-game series on Tuesday noon.
