NBA 2010-2011 Season:Utah Jazz vs. LA LakersJanuary 25, 2011 by Marc Jerbs

On Tuesday, the Utah Jazz plays the LA Lakers at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. Game time is set at 10:30PM ET; expect a full house tomorrow night and the glitz and glamour of Hollywood's top artists will be sitting at the front row.

The Utah Jazz are mired in a four game losing streak in their scheduled 5-games road trip. They hope to win one against the Lakers since it's been six years they ended up 0-5 in their road games. However, winning against the Lakers at Staples Center is also a tough task for the Jazz.

The Jazz have not beaten the Lakers at Staples Center for more than five years and sixteen games. Beating the Lakers could help boost Utah's sagging confidence before they return at home in Salt Lake City. It would be a total team effort for the Jazz to beat the Lakers on the road. Deron Williams and CJ Miles must play superbly and hopes their fellow teammates will follow suit.

The LA Lakers may have the big advantages against the Utah Jazz. But, things could get ugly if Kobe Bryant settled into a one-man show on Tuesday night. Kobe tends to carry the Lakers on his back if his teammates could not muster any offense and defense. Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom and Ron Artest must also contribute to lessen the load of Kobe.

The sportsbook handicappers have selected the LA Lakers as a 7.5-point favorite to beat the slumping Utah Jazz. The odds may be bleak for the Jazz but if the Lakers doesn't bring out their killer instinct then expect a resounding upset win for the Jazz.
