NBA Free Agency:The Miami ThriceJuly 13, 2010 by Marc Jerbs

The NBA's free agency period proved to be the hottest source of news this sizzling summer. Former Cavaliers hotshot Lebron James eventually left Cleveland and joined forces with Dwayne Wade and ex-Raptor Chris Bosh to play for the Miami Heat.

They are the new version of the Big Three, a term coined when Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce eventually played with the Boston Celtics. But, it's better to call James, Bosh and Wade as the Miami Thrice.

These three players were envisioned to bring multiple championships to the Miami Heat. It's is a great challenge but this could be done. James, Wade and Bosh are in their prime and all three are dedicated to win after accepting lesser salary deals to form the nucleus of the Miami Heat.

Although, they still need to fill-up the Heat roster with veteran and role players that could complement the Miami Thrice.

PF Udonis Haslem recently signed for a lesser contract and chose to stay with the Heat while free agent SG Mike Miller have already committed to play in Miami. The Heat still needs a veteran point guard and center to fill up their starting five for next season.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Miami Heat as the early favorite to win the Eastern Conference championship as well as the NBA Finals. The defending champions LA Lakers could now meet a more formidable foe with the East's Miami Thrice.
