On Tuesday, the Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, Australia will host the prestigious and two-mile race in the world, the Melbourne Cup.

Race time is set at 3:00PM AEST.

The final Melbourne Cup field has been confirmed.

Twenty-four horses have passed and qualified for the race.

Ispolini, Red Galileo, Marmelo and Angel of Truth were ruled out a few days before the Melbourne Cup.

The Melbourne Cup will still continue as it still has local high-profile horses as well as foreign-owned runners.

2018 winner Cross Counter will attempt to score a back-to-back win but only four horses have done in the Cup's history.

Mer de Glace, a stallion who won 5 races in a row in Japan and earned his first win in Australia at the G1 Caulfield Cup for his sixth win.

This Japanese stallion will attempt a rare double-win by winning the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups.

Father and son trainers Aidan and Joseph O'Brien have 7 entries between them.

Joseph will field Downdraft, Master of Reality, Latrobe and Twilight Payment while his father will have Hunting Horn, Magic Wand and II Paradiso.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Mer de Glace as the horse to beat on Tuesday's Melbourne Cup at the Flemington Racecourse.
