2020 Autumn Racing Carnival: Morphettville Racecourse April 23, 2020 by Marc Jerbs

The Australian Turf Club hosted a terrific racing carnival at the Royal Randwick Racecourse has come to its end.

The racing events were still a huge success without racing fans in attendance as part of the strict protocol due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Starting May 2, it's the turn of the South Australian Jockey Club to host their version of Autumn Racing Carnival at Morphettville Racecourse in Adelaide, Australia.

Every weekend the racing aficionados they will feature Group 1 races and top-notch thoroughbred horses.

Racing fans are encouraged to watch the races at their homes since no racing fans will be allowed at the Morphettville Racecourse.

The featured race on the first weekend of May will be two Group 1 races, they are Robert Sangster Stakes which has a A$1 million prize money and the Australasian Oaks with A$500,000 prize money.

Sunlight is deemed as the early favorite in Robert Sangster Stakes while Affair to Remember and Toffee Tongue are co-favorites for the Australasian Oaks.
