Grand National Festival 2021: The Grand National Steeplechase April 8, 2020 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, the Grand National Festival 2021 will feature nine Grade 1 races across three days and will conclude with the greatest steeple chase race, the Grand National.

The Grand National Steeple Chase race has a worldwide following of 500 million fans in 140 countries.

The 173rd running of the Grand National will take place at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool, England.

This well-known racing event will cover a total race distance of 4m 2½f.

It will test the strength, courage and stamina of every horse during the race as they will jump 30 fences and obstacles.

Race time is set 5:15PM BST.

A capacity field of 40 runners have qualified for the Grand National.

Ladbrokes Trophy winner Cloth Clap is one of the frontrunners in the race together with 2019 Irish national winner Burrows Saint and Welsh National winner Secret Reprieve.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Cloth Clap as the favorite to win Saturday's Grand National Steeple Chase race.
